These terms govern your use of the SoulGuard app. By installing or using SoulGuard, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What SoulGuard is

SoulGuard is a personal self-discipline tool. It helps you keep chosen apps locked until you complete a short morning routine of reading, meditation, and prayer. It is not a parental-control or monitoring product, and it is not a medical, safety, or emergency service.

License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use SoulGuard on devices you own or control, for your own personal use, subject to these terms and the App Store terms.

Emergency access

SoulGuard never blocks the iPhone's built-in emergency calling, and you choose which apps remain available during a lock. You are responsible for keeping the apps you need, such as Phone, in your allowlist. Do not rely on SoulGuard in a situation where being able to reach an app could affect anyone's safety.

Your content

Your journal entries and settings belong to you and stay on your device. Because we do not operate servers, we cannot recover your data if your device is lost, reset, or the app is deleted. Please keep your own backups through iCloud or iTunes if you wish to retain your entries.

No warranty

SoulGuard is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error free, or that Apple's Screen Time will behave perfectly in every case.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SoulGuard and its maker are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
