Privacy Policy
Last updated June 25, 2026
SoulGuard is built to be private by design. We do not operate servers, and we do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. Everything the app records stays on your device.
What is stored on your device
Your routine settings, durations, streak history, reading progress, and color choices are stored locally on your iPhone. Your journal entries are encrypted on your device. None of this is sent anywhere.
Screen Time and Family Controls
SoulGuard uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) to shield the apps you choose. The apps you select are managed by Apple and are represented to SoulGuard only as opaque tokens. We never see the names of the apps you pick. SoulGuard requests Screen Time authorization for the single purpose of locking and unlocking the apps you select, and you can revoke this at any time in iOS Settings.
Your scroll-time estimate
The presence comparison in the app uses a daily scroll estimate that you enter yourself. It is a number you choose, stored on your device, and is never read from Apple's Screen Time reports or sent off the phone.
Analytics and tracking
SoulGuard does not use analytics, advertising, or third-party trackers. The app works fully offline and does not require an account.
Children
SoulGuard is a personal self-discipline tool and is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no data, we collect no data from children.
Changes to this policy
If a future version adds a feature that changes how data is handled, for example optional account sync, this policy will be updated before that feature ships, and the change will be described here.
